EVA Mid-sole & Heel Base
Sole-manufacturers usually use a combination of EVA and rubber to produce the mid-soles and heel bases. They are very common products in today’s footwear industry because they are stable, light, and shock-absorbing. The main concern of EVA mid-sole and heel bases is the durability; they are not very durable, but that is the destiny of any light and soft material like EVA. That is also why they are used as mid-soles and heel bases; a layer of rubber outsoles or heel tips is usually necessary to enhance the durability.
